On Friday June 19 several schools from around the province will be competing at Bike Wentworth for the first ever high school disc golf championship. 

This event will be an annual feature in the Wentworth calendar.   Our hope is that someday in their not too distant future the majority of schools in Nova Scotia will submit teams. 

This year we expect over 50 students from 5 schools in the northern region to take part.  Schools will submit teams of two who play a modified 18 hole layout of ‘best disc’ doubles.  

Through a partnership with PDGA Canada and Flickline Disc Golf we are able to keep the cost low this year for patricians while at the same time offering them a chairlift ride to the top to enhance their experience.  Teams will tee off between 10am-12 noon and will be finishing on the Chickadee between 2-3:30.  We strongly encourage the public to come out and cheer on these student athletes as they add a new skill to their sport repertoire!!
